Several sources say that a big group of mostly Central and South American migrants left the southern Mexican state of Chiapas with the goal of crossing into the United States. The group allegedly asked the new Mexican government led by President Claudia Sheinbaum to handle transit permits more quickly.
According to Ali Bradley, an independent writer, the new migrant group has about 6,000 people walking with it.
Videographer Auden Cabello said the migrants voiced annoyance with the Biden-Harris CBP One app. The group left Tapachula, Chiapas, on Saturday and went to the southern border of the United States with Mexico. They were unable to make plans to cross the border at ports of entry or take direct flights into the United States.
“The National Guard, state police, and an ambulance are currently following the caravan,” Cabello said. “Authorities are giving refugees the choice to stay in Tapachula and get help with their CBP One forms.”
Breitbart Texas reported that in July, another group of migrants left the southern Mexican border area. Over 3,000 people started to make their way north to the border between the United States and Mexico.
By the middle of September, big groups of migrants were again crossing the border near Eagle Pass, Texas.

According to Randy Clark of Breitbart Texas, the big group of migrants crossed the Rio Grande late in the afternoon near the small town of Normandy, Texas. This is about 16 miles north of Eagle Pass. Reports from Breitbart Texas say that the area used to be known for a large number of migrant crossings, but that has changed since more police efforts in Mexico during election years slowed the flow of migrants coming to the US border.
According to Lieutenant Chris Olivares, a spokeswoman for the Texas DPS, the big groups of migrants will continue to cross near Eagle Pass through October.
